Backyard Animal Sitting in Flower Mound TX

Need someone to check on your chickens, goats, donkeys, dogs, or cats while you're away? We've been doing exactly this for a neighboring family for years.

Real hands-on experience with a real backyard mix

Our kids have spent years caring for a neighbor's animals while the family is away — feeding, watering, collecting eggs, checking pens, and keeping everyone happy. This is not brand-new to us — it is something we already do carefully and consistently.

Custom Pricing Based on the Routine

Backyard animal care is different from a simple dog walk, so pricing depends on the job.

We'll give you a clear quote after we understand your animals, routine, number of visits, location, and dates. Simple check-ins may be quick, while larger routines with chickens, goats, donkeys, dogs, cats, gates, water troughs, or multiple daily visits take more time.

What we will and won't do

Backyard animals deserve honest care. Here's where we draw the line, because that's what keeps your animals safe and us doing this well.

We only take animal-care jobs with clear written instructions and a parent-approved meet-and-greet first. We don't handle medical care, injections, loose-livestock recovery, aggressive animals, or anything that isn't covered in your routine. If a job is more than a simple check-in, we'll be honest up front and either adjust the plan together or pass on it.

Tell us about your animals

Send us a few details and we'll text or email you back the same day. Free meet-and-greet before we start. After we understand the routine, we'll send a simple quote before anything is booked.

Questions Parents Ask

How much do backyard animal check-ins cost?
Pricing is custom based on the animals, routine, number of visits, location, and dates. After we understand the job, we'll give you a clear quote before anything is booked.
What backyard animals do you actually have experience with?
Our kids have years of hands-on experience caring for chickens, goats, donkeys, sheep dogs, and cats for a neighboring family. That's our real comfort zone. For other animals or more involved care, we'll review the routine first and only take it on if we're confident we can do it well.
What is and isn't included in a backyard animal check-in?
Standard check-ins include feeding, fresh water, egg collection, basic coop/pen checks, gate checks, and a quick visual look at each animal. We don't handle medical care, injections, loose-animal recovery, aggressive animals, or anything that isn't covered in your written instructions.
Do you need detailed instructions ahead of time?
Yes. Before the first visit, we do a free meet-and-greet to walk through your routine, learn the animals, see where everything is, and write down clear instructions. The more specific the better — animals do best when their routine stays consistent.
What if something seems wrong with an animal?
We text you right away with photos and wait for your instructions when it's safe to do so. We don't try to handle anything medical ourselves — you and your vet make those calls. We're there to do the routine well and to be your eyes on the property.
Do you serve all of Flower Mound?
We're based in Bridlewood and serve nearby Flower Mound homes. Backyard animal jobs are a bit more involved than a dog walk, so we look at each request based on distance and routine. Send us your address and we'll let you know.

Ready to plan your animal care?

Send us a quick note about your animals and your dates. We'll get back to you the same day to set up a free meet-and-greet.
