Texas heat? We don't mess around with it.

Flower Mound summers get serious. Hot pavement, dehydration, and afternoon highs above 100° can be dangerous for dogs. Here's how we keep your pup safe:

Early or late timing. We shift walks to mornings before 10am or evenings after 7pm during heat waves.
Pavement check. If the sidewalk is too hot for our hand, it's too hot for paws — we'll find shaded routes or skip the walk and do an indoor check-in instead.
Fresh water every visit. Bowls refilled, fountains checked, ice cubes on the worst days.
Shorter walks when needed. Better a quick safe potty break than a long dangerous one. We use judgment.
Honest texts. If we changed the plan because of heat, you'll know what we did and why.

Summer Questions

How far in advance should I book summer vacation help?

For week-long vacations and recurring daily plans, at least a week ahead is best so we can hold your spots. For one-off walks, same-day or next-day is usually fine — just text us.

What happens during a heat wave?

We shift walks to early morning or late evening, find shaded routes, and on truly dangerous days we'll skip the walk in favor of an indoor check-in with potty breaks, fresh water, and a little playtime. You'll always get a text about what we did and why.

Do you take care of cats during vacation check-ins?

Yes! We can help with feeding, water, litter boxes, a little company, and bringing in mail. We'll follow your instructions carefully so your cat's routine stays as normal as possible.

Can you visit more than once a day while we're traveling?

Absolutely. Most vacation clients book 2 visits per day — usually morning and evening. We can do more if your pup needs it. Pricing is per visit.

Are you available the whole summer?

Summer is our main booking season, and we try to help as many Bridlewood families as we can. The earlier you reach out, the easier it is for us to plan around your travel dates and ours.
